Course Overview

This class introduces participants to handguns and firearm safety, providing fundamental skills in pistol shooting and live range experience. The course is designed for new shooters as well as those looking to refresh their skills.

Course Details

  • Duration: 3 hours (training + live shooting)
    (Please allow an additional 30-45 minutes for potential overtime)

  • Includes: Eye and ear protection, firearm use, targets, and a certificate upon course completion.

  • Instructor Expertise: Delivered by experienced firearms instructors proficient in various firearm disciplines.

Event Schedule

  • 15 minutes: Gun Safety Talk

  • 10 minutes: Teams, Ears, Eyes, and Gear Setup

  • 30 minutes: Paper Target Shooting (.22LR & 9mm Pistols)

  • 30 minutes: Steel Target Shooting (.22LR & 9mm Pistols)

  • 30 minutes: Team-based Long Rifle Shooting at 50 Yards

  • 60 minutes: Team A vs. Team B Steel Shooting

  • 30 minutes: Steel Shooting Competition

  • 15 minutes: Celebration and Awards

  • Ammunition:
    50 rounds available for purchase at the range.

  • Dress Code:

    • No low-cut shirts

    • Shoes (no sandals)
